Amélie Schurich is the Assistant Director of TrustWorks. She supports the Director on communications, outreach and business development strategies, and serves as a Junior Researcher and Analyst for the TrustWorks team for client-oriented projects.
Amelie's academic and professional interests and experience focuses on the public policy, geopolitical and economic challenges facing businesses, particularly in the energy sector. Her interests span a wide set of interrelated issues, including: economic intelligence; countering-terrorism financing; conflict analysis; preventing and resolving natural resource-related conflicts; business-community-government relations; public-private partnerships; public policy; and regulatory compliance.
Amélie has been working at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) within the Eurasia Competitiveness Unit, advising the Ukrainian and Kazakhstani Governments on private sector development. She has also worked with the agribusiness and mining sectors, with a particular focus on access to finance, human capital development, regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.
Amélie obtained a first-class honors degree in Political Science and Economics from Sciences Po Paris (Institut d'Etudes Politiques - IEP) and spent a year as graduate Development Economics visiting student at McGill University. She went onto complete her Masters of International Economic Policy at the School of International Affairs of Sciences Po Paris, specializing in Project Management and Asian Economies.
