Senior Policy, Advocacy, and Management Advisor

Fron has more than 20 years of experience in project management, consulting, training, and writing on civil society and transitional societies. He has developed and managed multi-million dollar programs related to advocacy, public policy, education, community development, and established multi-million dollar grant giving systems. Fron has worked and lived in more than 20 countries in the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, Caucuses, Africa, Oceania, and Southeast Asia. His project experience includes work with both government and private sectors to address such issues as education, good governance, social environment, economic development, unemployment among youth, and linking governments, educational institutions, and businesses to their counterparts in Europe and in the US.

Fron has worked with numerous international donor agencies and foundations such as the USAID, British Council, EU, Swedish, Canadian and Dutch governments, US State Department, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Open Society Institute, and the Ford Foundation.  He has advised US and European government leaders and businesses (e.g., energy, construction, lobbying) on development strategies and mediation, and advised major universities in the US on how to expand their programs abroad.  

Fron authored political analyses, and has been published in leading European and US based newspapers, journals and websites including: "Le Monde", "The Independent", "The Guardian",  "Newsday", Institute for War and Peace Reporting, European Voice, Project Syndicate, and is a regular contributing blogger on Huffington Post.

He holds a Masters in Public Policy from the University at Albany.
