The UN Global Compact Norway organised a Friday Breakfast webinar and invited TrustWorks CEO and founder, Josie Lianna Kaye, to join a panel discussion to talk about due diligence in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRAs). She was joined by Mads Harlem, lawyer and legal advisor in international law, Save the Children Norway and Johan Tingulstad from Scatec ASA. Josie shared some insights and perspectives on responsible business conduct in CAHRAs, provide an overview of some of the key risk factors and dilemmas companies face and explain what best practice looks like when it comes to operating effectively and responsibly in these challenging contexts. She also shared some recommendations for companies who wish to strengthen their due diligence approach in CAHRAs in line with the evolving regulatory and risk landscape.
