Positioned impartially between public and private actors, as a social enterprise our business model represents a hybrid that, in our opinion, combines the best of both worlds: what interests us most is not our bottom-line but what our bottom-line can do for the achievement of our mandate.

Our model, therefore, seeks not to maximise profit for our shareholders, but to maximise profit as a means to engage more public and private actors to resolve intractable conflict in areas where we feel we can make the most meaningful difference – based on the available financial and human resources.

Our goal is to seek financial independence and the ability to fund our own initiatives. The majority of our profits are re-invested in TrustWorks; the management team then decides how and where those funds should be used to further our mandate.
